PRP Ukraine presented case “Olympic” marketing from “VIASAT”

On June 9, 2010, a session of American Chamber of Commerce PR-committee working group took place. The topic of the meeting was “Sport marketing”, where PRP Ukraine presented a case “VIASAT: “Olympic” marketing”. Natali Olbert-Sinko, PRP Ukraine Director, Oleksandra Hontar, Account Director, Corporate and Financial Communications Practice Head, and Vasyl Borodchuk, Marketing Director of VIASAT Ukraine participated in the meeting.
VIASAT used theme of the Winter Olympic Games 2010 for its integrated national campaign realisation: advertising campaign with Olympian Figure Skating Champion Victor Petrenko was conducted, blog at VIASAT web-site was developed with online news from Vancouver, as well as PR-ground for expert discussions of winter sports and their development possibilities in Ukraine was created. On the round table National Organisational Committee’s high level representatives, Ministries, Olympic sportsmen, and press and TV representatives could share their opinions.
As a result, campaign reached an audience of around 25 mln. people. 72% viewers were eager to get to know more about VIASAT service after the integrated campaign. TV-ranking of the Olympic Games 2010 increased by 40% in comparison with the Olympic Games 2006.
