Imagine Cup 2008

GOALS:

  • Announce results of Imagine Cup 2008, delivering Unlimited Potential Microsoft program key messages
  • Position Microsoft as a socially responsible business leader helping talented youth unlock their unlimited potential
  • Raise public awareness of Imagine Cup as a prestigious competition, participation in which strengthens international image of Ukraine, promotes education and enhances national knowledge economy
  • Attract attention of potential participants and raise competition’s popularity next year

REALIZATION:

  • Sending Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Computer Review magazine on a press tour to Imagine Cup Finals to Paris
  • Arranging two local press conferences on results of Imagine Cup Nationals (March) and Finals (July)
  • Individual work with central social media and student press throughout the campaign
  • Providing photographs and exclusive comments from participants to target mass media
  • Pitching additional information on Microsoft Unlimited Potential program to target mass media
RESULTS:
  • 18 journalists from nationwide media including:
  • 9 journalists from IT media
  • 4 journalists from news agencies
  • 2 journalists from general interest media
  • Over 40 publications
  • 4 reports in broadcast media (popular radio stations)
